New Year, New Logo?

I figured, since we're well into the new year at this point, I'd update the logo for the forums.

Since, as of Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, we're now officially out of the Sprite Trilogy, I thought it'd be nice to stylize use part of the 1/2 Genie Hero logo. What do you think?

I think it looks really good! Perhaps to set up some more room, you might want to stick to having the 'the' at the top and have 'Fans Portal' snuggle up beside the 'S'. It might make it feel more like the one we already have, but it would make it say TSFP as opposed to STFP. Either way, I totally agree with the idea of an updated logo! ^^

Hmm...good point. We wouldn't want to have members accidentally typing STFU in the forums.

How did I miss this topic for this long?

Is this directly taken from Half-Genie Hero's logo, or is done with a font and some textures/highlights? Either way, I agree a new logo is a great idea, especially Half-Genie Style! Just the facelift we need.

Don't know why I didn't do this sooner, but here's the modified logo. What do you think?

I think I need to make a Shantae portrait of her in Half-Genie Hero's style for our Tumblr, to go with this! After that, I'll be updating our logo on the forums and the main blog's skin to accommodate the new logo. Thanks again, ShantaeVocaloid.

Yours matters too. A new logo would be nothing if the community at large didn't like it too.

For anyone not on social media, I finished that drawing of Shantae, and updated our logo! I have some second thoughts about giving her neck a little definition, although otherwise happy with it. I'm not too good at keeping the art style as simple as Half-Genie Hero's. Next time I'll just do my own thing instead of failing at nailing it.

You're getting so much better at colour Luke ^^ Good stuff.

Also, it's very cool to see the logo's up and running now! It's becoming so much closer to the release of Half Genie Hero~

Glad you think so, Ex! And it turns out I messed up with the colors, (Seems fans still get touchy over her being almost white in the initial Kickstarter pitch for Half-Genie Hero.) so I went back and updated her skin tone. Also improved her neck, it didn't look right to me before.
