Paragon-Yoshi is here!
Hi there, everyone.
Looks like I am the first member, who joined.
Anyway, I have become a Shantae fan around a year ago. And I absolutely fell in love with this little game series.
Of course, there are a lot of other franchises that I like.
Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Metal Gear Solid, Street Fighter (the older ones), VS-games, Final Fantasy (up until IX), Starcraft (the plot of II sucked though) and a few more.
I am from Germany, 23 years old and I am also drawing in my free time, as well as chatting with people on the net.
Glad to be on board.

It's great to see you here, Paragon, and as the first member too! I'm also relieved the registration works, since I hadn't created a test user for that purpose. =P
I'm a huge fan of Zelda, Metroid and the older Street Fighter games myself! Never tried the VS games or Starcraft, though; don't even know what they're like. xD

Awesome.
I love Metroid as well- it's my favourite game series EVER. Of course, Monster Hunter and Shantae both share second place on that list, hehe.
Re: Paragon-Yoshi is here!
Never realized you were from Germany, Paragon.
We seem to have a decent lot in common, at least as far as gaming goes eheh.
Though I still enjoy the classic FFs, the modern ones don't sit right with me (more like Final Fashionshow amirite?).
I'm kinda the same way with Zelda, favoring the ones I grew up with. But I'll admit that Skyward Sword was a pleasant surprise
once I actually started playing it and stopped ranting over 6 hearts becoming the new 3

Re: Paragon-Yoshi is here!
Yup, I am german.
I enjoyed Final Fantasy up to IX. From X on it just started to go downhill.
I also dislike that VII prequels and sequels. Cuz they broke the masterpiece, if you ask me.
Well, I never played the 2D-Zelda's, I admit.
First Zelda game I played was Ocarina of Time.
But my favourite are Majoras Mask and Skyward Sword so far.
As for Metroid, I love Super Metroid.
But I love Metroid Prime as well.

You've never played the 2D Zelda games? Well, you're not missing out on much, I'll admit, but the Oracle of Ages/Seasons were the best of them, IMO, even despite how much I loved A Link to the Past as a kid. (It was like, the first game I ever played! xD) The dungeons were too short and didn't have much depth.
Also, lol, I just beat Super Metroid a few days ago! I was overlooking one crawlspace the whole time and got stuck on it for months! Did the exact same thing in Corruption too. Does that officially make me an inattentive idiot? ;_;

Nope.
I'm still stuck on Corruption. I'm supposed to be assembling that bomb (using the ship's grapple) and It's impossible. I've been everywhere... I even checked every tutorial but it's just not working. Sometimes I wish I could just go back to a point in time where I hadn't screwed myself over, then the tutorials would actually work.
Re: Paragon-Yoshi is here!
Well, no. It's nothing to be ashamed of.
It just shows that the game served you will in keeping you busy.
I too get stuck on various occasions. It's perfectly normal. So no worries.
As for the bomb in Corruption.
Uhm, all you have to do is to collect the parts in the right order, if I am not mistaken. o.O

Yeah....
"In the right order"
That's the problem. I got stuck at one point, wandered around elysia until kingdom come, followed the wrong part of the tutorial and now I am hopelessly lost. I already had one part, but messed around because of how confused I was. I decided to get my ship back on elysia, to escape the wretched place, sacrificing the bomb part to find that getting the ship back had got me nowhere. Soooooo..... that's why I haven't played it in about a year now.
