Just curious if anybody was busy celebrating. ^^ As for me, I had a hotdog and watched fireworks out the window; it was a pretty quiet 4th of July for me. Twisted Evil

I was finishing up Shining Force III last night, the last game on my Backlog. I liked to think that the fireworks I heard all the while were in my honor Laughing

It's no national holiday in Germany, so I wouldn't expect you to know. =P I'd be surprised if American history were in schoolbooks around the world at all.

Independence Day is pretty much when us Americans celebrate the day our ancestors declared their separation from Britain more than 200 years ago. This involves a lot of fireworks, grilling out, parades, you name it. The original copy of the Declaration of Independence is still being preserved like a holy grail behind glass in DC.

So it's a very special holiday. Even if the rest of the known world is laughing at the US now, and our government might be stagnating a bit in the eyes of a few of its people, I can still appreciate the spirit and passion that originally founded this nation.

Wow, that's pretty timely. Twisted Evil I'm glad you got much of your backlog cleared up, I hope I never know what it's like to have a bunch of games to play, but not a lot of time to play them.

Oh wait, I do now on Steam. ;w;

Mine was a big disappointment, because it was raining outside all day.

I know that feel, Axol, it was raining on most of mine too. Some people in the neighborhood had to wait until the next day to launch the bulk of their fireworks.
