"Superpowers" Topic!

Post by Paragon-Yoshi on Sat Jul 14, 2012 9:55 pm

This topic is all about Superpowers.

If any of you could have one, which would you like to have?
I am looking forward to the replies. Extra Smile

I dunno, whenever asked a question like this, I've always been torn between the ability to jump rediculously high, or flying. Clearly flying would be the better one to choose, but in every dream I had that involved jumping whole stories above the ground, and feeling the acceleration on the way down, it's just way more fun! :D Besides, I'm worried I might accidently fly feet-first a few times anyway; I'd feel terrible if Superman saw that on the news. xD

Uh, what? o_O

So I take it you'd either take Super Jump or Flying.

I'd have to go with flight as well. Whether to travel quickly and efficiently, or just to soak in the skyward sights.
I'm also glad I'm not the only one who's had strange dreams about flight that usually wind up involving such super bloopers, eheh.

I'm actually kinda torn between flight and breathing underwater. Perhaps if I had a trial run of each to see which setting suited me best. Or I suppose I could just settle with having magical hair that's both lovely and lethal. Decisions, decisions...

Heh, nice thinking. Playful Wink

As for me: I think I'd choose "Reality Warping".
Limitless possibilities. Wink

But if that were to powerful, I'd probably go for "Shapeshifting".

Shapeshifting? I'd have to walk away from a power like that, the temptation to abuse it would be too much for me. >:D Bending reality to your will doesn't sound too overpowered, I mean, that's Magneto in a nutshell, right? Oh wait, that's just with physical objects. xD

Oh, I meant that I'd probably be more klutzy than Hancock in flight, resulting in more collateral damage than most battles between Batman and Joker. =P SUPER JUMP ALL THE WAY WOOOOOOO!!!

Actually, Magneto controls Magnetism, not reality.
Reality Warping is more like what Genie's do, or Shenlong from Dragonball.

Funny you mention underwater breathing. If you've seen Stan Lee's Superhumans there's a guy who actually can stay underwater for very long periods of time. He just has a way of doing it I wouldn't be too comfortable with...

I really liked that show! :D You won't see a guy hooking himself up to a 10W fusebox anywhere else. Never saw the episode you mentioned though, now I'm curious to see how that turned out. *puts it on list of things to see on Youtube later*

Oh yeah, that's right. xD I'm a little rusty on the XMen, and only seen the movies; never read the comics. That's a pretty nifty website too, I'll need to keep it bookmarked for future reference!

If I had to go with any super power (and my brother and I have spent hours on this conversation) for real life application, I'd have to pick the power of Mind Control. It can come in handy when people are being stubborn, and might actually get people to think if I tinkered (no pun intended) with them the right way.

Sure there'd be a lot of potential power abusing. However, it could change the world without the need of a black notebook or mobile suits Wink And maybe executives who need a new certain half genie in their companies midsts Extra Smile
