Shantae GBC Prototype!

Honestly, this is almost like finding the Holy Grail in the Shantae fandom, man, this is an excellent find and I had no second thoughts about moving this to the News section! This is pretty big for our fanbase, since as far as I know, nobody's ever posted a prototype of Shantae on the Internet; you could be the first.

Congratulations for finding such a gem; I hope you're able to dump an image of it eventually, it would be interesting to see what all's in store without causing any wear and tear, or bit-rot, to the original cartridge.

The date in the last screenshot is an entire year behind the game's final release, so we can only begin to speculate what may have been on the cutting room floor at Wayforward! Once again, thanks for finding this little beauty, Simon, this is a really exciting discovery. ^^

Eheh, but I jest. I can't really think of anything decent as far as words go, however. What about some mock-up sketches that show Shantae and/or other characters in a prototype style? Or maybe use some of the official concept sketches that are floating around the net? Because if you ask me, words alone really can't describe such a treasure
