Did you know that Shantae has an official Twitter account? The tweets from that account are made in character as Shantae. It looks like it's mostly for sharing news about what's going on at WayForward, but she's responded to a few things fans say as well.
The most fun thing (to date) in this account is a 1st person retelling of GBC Shantae's story. There are some differences from the game, but it follows the general flow of the game pretty closely, and there are a lot of humorous bits in there too, so it's a pretty good read. Needless to say, there are spoilers. I kind of hope they do something like this again (maybe for Risky's Revenge, maybe for a future game, who knows?), but it seems to be just in "news mode" right now.

If I'm right, it's not a blood relation, but she calls him that. I thought she called him that in the original game, but I found out about the connection before I watched the LP, so I wasn't really looking to see if she did.

Normal users don't have topic-starting privileges in the news section anyway, so it wouldn't have mattered. xD I went ahead and moved it here so newbies could discover it more readily.
For a flirty guy like him, it was shocking, to me, that he didn't think of the obvious. Clearly he's a caring friend, but still a blockhead, as usual. xD

And yes, she is all in my brain. She is my favourite heroine of all time for a reason.

I'm glad yall put this here. I'd heard about it but Twitter confuses my pitiful mortal mind, so this is the first time I've read it. Really like the way they made Shantae's friends seem more relevent; particularly the stuff with Rotty in it, as she plays an important role in a story I'm planning, and now I've got a bit more history betwixt her and Shantae to reference.
