About that censor filter scare a few moments ago

I royally screwed up the curse filter today, and broke a good three or four posts because of it. They don't tell you it doesn't like astericks (e.g *) in the metaphorical admin handbook! That's the last time I tried to filter out words that are partially censored; it was sort of overkill anyway, so I apologize for being this strict about it.

And encase you're curious, every post that began with B or S was censored; crazy, I know. ;_; When Paragon-Yoshi mentioned it at deviantArt, I thought he had discovered the little easter egg I left in the filter, but no, much worse than that! Good thing all I had to do was remove the culprits from the filter, so everything's fine now. You shouldn't sound like a sailor for speaking plain English while posting on these boards.

Actually, I've read the brief description and instantly understood the way of using astericks. oO

But oh well, it's no big deal.
Now where this is resolved, let's move on to better things.

I do remember reading something about astericks being used as a wildcard for word filtering, but it apparently didn't sink in and I figured forumotion just parsed every word boolean style.



What else could better describe that kind of fail? Nothing! ;_; But yeah, I'm ready to move on from that too. xD
