Paragon's Crazy Ideas: All-Star Fighting game + unique Business Model
You know, I love thinking of video games in my head.
And I did think of a lot of games already: Fan-games and original games.
Some are realistic and some not so much but possible with a professional team...
... and a few are just plain crazy.
Today I will introduce you to one of those crazy game ideas of mine.
And in addition to a business model, which I haven't seen in this form yet.
So give you an introduction:
The game would basicly be a crossover-fighting game featuring almost any video game franchise out there.
A fully-customizable 3D fighting game which basicly plays like "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - All-Star Battle", but with many features from other Street Fighter-style games thrown into the mix.
And in tandem with this, a business model, that would require you to confirm that you have the games the characters, stages, etc. originate from, in order to make them usable for this game.
Does it sound crazy?
Well the three-part concept script will go into much more detail.
- Part 1 - Gameplay/Overview
- Part 2 - Customization
- Part 3 - Business Model + Closing Comments
I will also write on some character movesets and stage-sets later.
Of course ONLY for characters and worlds I know and games I played.
And probably not for every game I played.
Just to give you some examples/ideas on how characters and stage could play out.
At this point you might think I am insane and belong to an asylum for even thinking of such an insanity.
But I can't help it.
In any case, I wanted to give this idea a proper place. And unrealistic and hopeless it might be.
So yeah, that is it.

Does not sound crazy to me. o.o It does, however, read as a venture that no short-sighted corporation would undertake: this would almost surely need to be a slow burner, painstakingly crafted by individuals in their spare time (perhaps a collaboration, far beyond anything MUGEN-ish?). It'd likely draw moderate support from the fighting community overall, particularly the broader-minded folk. Only reason I wouldn't play it is my general detachment from 3D fighters. X3

Well I recommend you taking a look at gameplay-videos of "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - All-Star Battle".
That might clear up some misunderstandings.
But yeah, I knew in terms of getting made, it requires some special individuals, not your generic company or one-man army.
Still, like I said, the idea kept haunting me in the back of my head.
So I eventually got a writer's high and I just had to write it down. ^^;

I forgot to mention, that I have upped move- and stage-sets.
One for Final Fantasy...
... and one for Nintendo.
Of course, I had to split those into parts, thanks to the 64 KB limit of deviantART.
So those are just the first parts. Links to the next parts are found at the end of a part.

Ah, I hadn't read through those yet. I'll hafta do so once I gain some free time. ^^ Any other plans beyond FF and Nintendo, Yoshi?

Re: Paragon's Crazy Ideas: All-Star Fighting game + unique Business Model
Well, "Sonic", "Streets of Rage" and "Metal Gear" are the only big ones left I am familiar with.
Other than that, I can think of "Shantae" chars and stages. Tho since I am not familiar with any of the other WayForward series yet, it might come a little short.
And might be able to feature one indie-game or two as well.
But that would be as far as I am able to go with this.
I don't know every game franchise in existence, after all. ^^;
