What was your first video game?
For me, my folks gifted me "Legend of Zelda : A Link To the Past" at age six, when I had just learned to read. (They didn't let me play any RPGs on the SNES until I could, and I quickly learned why after getting ALTtP!) It was probably the most serious reading I did until picking up full-blown novels at age 9. =P Still playing it to this day too, even if the dungeons are pretty easy compared to the GBC titles.

First console game: Wave Race 64
First video game ever played: Lotus 2: Turbo Challenge (Amiga Game)
Enough said.

I'm pretty sure my first game was Super Mario World 3, and then A Link to the Past after.
My first multiplayer experience was Bomberman 64, and it was awesome. I still remember having friends come over when I was 6 or 7 and playing some 4 player Bomberman. Smash Bros. came soon after (my step dad using Pikachu's Thunder was also my first spamming experience haha.) Since then I've become a real multiplayer type of gamer.

I grew up on the NES: Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, all that good shtuff.
I still remember the first time I got to 5-4 in SMB and seeing that huge fire bar towards the beginning:
my first taste of fear in a video game, eheh
My first RPG was technically Dragon Warrior, though I didn't play it long:
like what Luke said, I was too young to understand or otherwise get the appeal of RPGs.
I just wanted to Zelda my way through everything

My very first real video game was "Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland". It's still a wonderful game in my opinion (even if it is just a remake of "Kirby's Adventure"), and I still have the cartridge in my DS Lite!
