Other WayForward games
I literally just thought of this. We all know that this being the Shantae Fans Portal, we all know Shantae's the star of the show here.
But what of her Mighty series sisters, or other WayForward originals? Do you want to discuss them here?
Well, I think I've created the right topic. This is dedicated solely to talk about the Mighty series, Sigma Star Saga, or any other WayForward games you have on your mind.
I'll start things off with news on Mighty Switch Force: http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=180482

Re: Other WayForward games
Mighty Switch Force is one of the games I definitely want when I get a 3DS. That music is wonderful. The idea of the game looks pretty great too. I don't normally like spoiling games for myself, so I've only watched a video on the very first stage, but the way the game plays is very interesting to me. Just from watching I can see it would probably be my favorite Mighty game.

Ah yeah, Sigma Star Saga. Never owned it, but I did rent it once.
I thought the concept of an RPG Sh'mup was pretty cool, but found it hard to look past it's flaws.
Heavy slowdown, imbalanced weapons / ships, and the annoyance of being reset upon crashing.
Kinda hurts me to speak about a WayForward game like so, but thankfully it's the only one I've played that's felt sub-par.
Then of course there's Xtreme Sports, the game that introduced me to WayForward.
As such, I've always thought it something special. And I'd say it's aged pretty well.
All the different events are easy to learn and fun to play, and the difficulty is just right.
If there's any other WF game besides Shantae that I'd love to see get a sequel, it would definitely be this one.
Contra 4 needs no explanation: Konami + WF = Win
Lit was pretty good, too. A rather unique puzzler with a nice style to it.
Finally, Mighty Flip Champs! Yeah, I include the exclamation because it deserves it, eheh.
Seriously one of the most fun and unique puzzlers I've played in a while. Yep, it's mighty flippin' sweet.
I feel bad putting off getting this one until the Risky's Revenge bonus was announced.
Those are all the ones I've played, anyway.
If I had the corresponding systems, I'd probably give Mighty Switch Force and Bloodrayne a try as well,
as they looked pretty spiffin' too.
As it stands, I'm still in the stone age trying to enjoy and finish the games I have now before getting any more ^ ^;

Re: Other WayForward games
Here's a bit better of a view for the MSF HD. http://nintendopower.com/images/NP280_MSFHD.jpg
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really digging what they did with the art-style here. On the Wii-U though, I would hope they add more to the game beyond the recent bonus stages, but I'm pretty sure they will. Can't wait to see what new they come up with after giving this game its test run.
I also really wouldn't mind Shantae 3 to be done in this way after looking at it.
Another game I really liked was A Boy and His Blob (the WayForward Wii version of course.) That's what the MSF HD thing reminded me of, even though the style is still quite different. Guess it's just the hand-drawn thing that hit me.

Re: Other WayForward games
Ah wow, MSF HD U! Eheh, looks pretty nice.
I actually didn't click on the link in the original post at first, as I had dismissed it as a reference link to the 3DS MSF,
and hadn't heard about the HD version until just now.
I agree with BossFight, Shantae would look pretty good in that style.
Then again, she looks good no matter what ^ ^;
